The Intro

We’re Courtland and Rebecca. Between us, we’ve got seven kids... it’s loud, it’s chaotic, it’s real.

Before King of Creams was ever a restaurant—or a truck, or a name—it was just a dream held by two people trying to raise a family, pay the bills, and carve out something that felt like ours.

The Spark

That old converted postal van showed up from West Virginia. It wasn’t much—but it was ours.

The Grind

We were raising a family and working full-time jobs... our kids scooping and handing out napkins.

The Breakthrough

In 2015, we opened our first restaurant on East 4th Street. Hermantown came next...

What We Stand For

We’re not a chain. We’re not corporate. We’re Duluth. And we’re proud of what we make: Smashburgers. Cheesesteaks. Ice cream that makes grown adults grin.
